Residents: Would you like to share you CaRMS experience?
If you passed your CaRMS interviews and would like to share your experience with students preparing for residency, you may be interested to know that the CMA is hiring resident physicians to help prepare final-year medical students for their CaRMS interviews. Every year, the CMA, together with the QMA, organizes mock interview sessions that are well-received and appreciated by the participants.
As an interviewer, your role will be to co-conduct group mock interview sessions with medical students and provide feedback to help them prepare for their real CaRMS interviews. Each session has up to 10 medical students and is hosted by two resident physicians.
You must be a QMA-CMA member to participate and will receive $125 in remuneration per session (2 hours).
If you are interested in participating, please apply by following these steps:
- Click here and log in to CMA.ca using your CMA ID:
If you have not yet registered your CMA ID, go to cma.ca/register to create your username and password.
- Review and if necessary update your contact information to ensure that everything is accurate.
- Select the most convenient location.
- Select your availability by dragging and dropping your most preferred sessions and times into the specified area. Note that preference is given to candidates available for the entire day.
- Submit your request.
Resident physicians will be selected first on the basis of program and availability, followed by a random draw of completed applications.
If you have any questions or concerns, please send us an email at CMAmembership@cma.ca.
The students will be very grateful for the tips and advice you can provide based on your experience!
