A symposium for physician executives on conflict prevention
If a project’s success depended only on the relevance of an action plan or performance indicators, then the role of managers would be completely different. But management occurs mostly through interpersonal relationships that can be full of sensitivities and tensions. And when the recent changes to the system are added to the mix, which considerably increased the size of teams and distanced partners, the challenge grows as well.
It is impossible to avoid all conflicts, but managers can hone their ability to anticipate them and introduce good strategies to minimize their impact. Consequently, the Physician Executives Group developed the program for its 4th symposium with this in mind.
Physician executives who attend will thus be able to prevent conflicts better, namely by learning how to:
- Identify the warning signs of a conflict and determine the priority actions to take;
- Use their political skills to engage the people they deal with;
- Learn the strategies to protect their work team from a toxic individual.
The event will take place on Friday, November 30, 2018, at the Hotel Vogue in Montréal.
