The Québec Medical Association (QMA) is a rising force in the medical community today. The Association gives a unified voice to the entire profession, be they general practitioners, specialists, students or residents. Through its media presence and the significant stands it has taken, the QMA vigorously campaigns for pressing health-care quality issues, such as adequate funding of the health-care system, accessibility of care, treatment delays, the patient-centred approach and the watchdog network to monitor the quality of health-care services. The leadership shown by the QMA in Québec extends Canada-wide through the Canadian Medical Association (CMA).
QMA offers its members a range of exceptionally advantageous services, including group insurance, complete financial services, professional development tools, seminars on office and portfolio management and Internet research.
Now, the Association has around 10 000 members who support the QMA's activities in the health sector and who appreciate the superior range of products and services it offers. All practising physicians and medical students in Québec can join the QMA.
Membership in the Québec Medical Association automatically confers membership to the Canadian Medical Association.
